Arshak II

Shapur IIKing of Armenia (363-381). Bellicose and tyrant, he waged relentless wars against the revolted Armenian lords. He butchered the influential Kamsarakan family, and executed many of the rebelled nobles. The Persian King Shapur II summoned him to Persia, arrested him and imprisoned in the Castle of Oblivion, where Arshak II died.

The Armenians under Sparapet Vasak Mamikonean defeated the Persian troops in several battles before both Arshak II and Sparapet Vasak were invited to Persia - Vasak to be killed, Arshak to be inprisonned for life.
